However, anyone who invests several thousand euros in a drone usually wants to protect it against damage. Drone hull insurance covers this so-called own damage.

Scope of cover
- Fire, lightning strike, sabotage, operating errors, clumsiness, theft, drone does not return and others - see terms and conditions
- Damage caused by film locations with increased risk, such as cliffs or sports boats, is also insured
- Reimbursement of the repair costs or replacement value less the excess in the event of damage - NOT just the current value
- Area of validity optionally insured in Europe or worldwid
Advantages
- Drone no longer responds, no longer returns -> recovery not mandatory
- Drone crashes into water / ravine in mountains -> replacement value is insured
Details
- Drones up to 25kg take-off weight
- Deductible in the event of damage only €250 / 10% in the event of theft
- Camera and accessories also insured free of charge up to €2,500 (if in use) - option to increase cover
